The Mechanical Gate (Controlled Entry) is a practical and effective method of access control. It has the added advantage of being controlled via a member of staff from a remote position.
The Mechanical Gate (Controlled Entry) is designed to open through 90 degrees and return to the control position under spring tension. The entry and exit of people is controlled remotely, by a member of staff, by means of an electrical impulse which disengages a solenoid lock. A 12v power supply is required to the gate. When activated a green light illuminates in the top cap to indicate that the gate can be opened. The gate closes under spring tension and will lock until a further signal is received.
The Mechanical Gate (Controlled Entry) is constructed of a mild steel body in bright chrome. Other finishes are available on request - RAL colour of choice or satin chrome. It is available in left-hand, right-hand or bi-directional which opens in both directions but closes under spring tension so the gate arm is always controlled.
All gates are fitted on 1060mm uprights. To determine the size of arm measure the gap and if you require a single gate minus 150mm for a facing pair minus 250mm (e.g. 750mm gap -150mm = 600mm arm size).
To determine whether a left or right handed gate is required imagine standing behind the supporting post and looking down the length of the arm. As someone walks through would the gate arm move through your left or your right quaadrant? If through the right it would require a right-handed gate.
