The Mechanical Key or Lift Up Lock Gate is reliable and practical. It is used to positively restrict entrance / exit of customers but allow controlled access for members of staff. It is particularly suited to areas where maximum security is not required. THis type of gate is ideal for areas where access is limited or used occasionally.
The gate is designed to open through 90 degrees and return to the closed position under spring tension. There are two locking devices which can be added toa standard mechanical gate to secure it
Lift Up Lock Gate

A small lock is fitted to the gate barrel and requires a lift up action to allow the arm to be moved and access gained. The fitting of the lock does not affect the Emergency Exit breakout facility

Key Lift Up Lock Gate
A small lock is secured by a key fitted to the barrel of the gate. The key prevents random access via the gate. The fitting of the lock does not affect the Emergency Exit breakout facility.
An option is available to fit a solenoid lock and remote alarm, details available on request. Standard arms are supplied (260mm deep) in lengths of 500mm-1000mm (in 50m increments).A Full Depth arm (767mm) is available with either a white or perspex infil panel for extra security. Manual breakout and reset is standard. Breakout will be in the opposite direction to opening.

All gates are fitted on 1060mm uprights. To determine the size of arm measure the gap and if you require a single gate minus 150mm for a facing pair minus 250mm (e.g. 750mm gap -150mm = 600mm arm size).
To determine whether a left or right handed gate is required imagine standing behind the supporting post and looking down the length of the arm. As someone walks through would the gate arm move through your left or your right quaadrant? If through the right it would require a right-handed gate.
